Overview
Originally developed by Moritz Hartmeier, championBuilder is a helpful tool allowing for Champions Online character delevopment. The original author has unfortunately stopped playing Champions Online and so the community has been left with the task of keeping championBuilder up-to-date. Before continuing we would like to thank the creator for creating this program in such a way that it is easy and accessible to maintain. Thank you.
Java Download
First thing's first, you'll be needing the latest version of java for this to run. Free Java Download
Notices / Bugs
If this is your first download since 11/11/2011 internal power IDs have been reworked and as such won't allow you to open old saved files. If you would like to transfer builds to the newest update you can use the previous update to view and print any builds saved before this time. See Update 11/11/2011 for details.
There's a bug that causes powers with a lot of advanced information to not allow you to add certain advantages which make that information go over an unknown limit. A workaround for this is to rightclick the power, locking it, and then adding the advantages. If there is still a problem you can post in the championBuilder thread on the official CO forums or PM @Roxstar in game.
KB Distance, Chance %, Duration , Repel, and Time all do not scale with 3rd rank.
Installation
When installing this program one must note that the software build has remain unchanged. As a result of this using the autoupdater will not work. For the most recent version it is imperative that you check back here for the most recent update. You will have to re-download the program each time an update is made. To do this simply follow the instructions below.
1. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to download the zip file.
2. Extract the zip file into the directory with your championBuilder folder.
- note: Not the championBuilder folder itself.
3. You will see a message asking you if you want to replace existing files.
- Click "Yes to All." This will NOT delete your preferences or builds. See pic below:
